NY screening of Filipino film on youth in crowded jails

MAY 17—"Bunso," an award-winning documentary film about three young Filipino boys struggling to survive in a crowded Philippine jail alongside adult rapists and murderers, will be screened at 7:30 p.m. at ImaginAsian Theater, 239 E. 59th St. (bet. 2nd & 3rd Aves.) Jaycees hosts “Kids Day in America” 2006 in Queens

MAY 20—The Philippine-New York Junior Chamber (Jaycees) will participate in "Kids Day in America" 2006 from noon to 3 p.m. at 50-11 Queens Blvd., Woodside, N.Y. It is a day dedicated to educate children and parents about health, safety and environmental issues. Neri Chiropractic will co-sponsor the event with Jaycees. 6th Annual Filipino Heritage Fair

Gingoognons Fiesta

MAY 21—By popular demand, hundreds of Fil-Am Gingoognons will celebrate hometown fiesta for the first time in the East Coast. Gingoog City also known as “City of Good Luck” is a part of the province of Misamis Oriental.
